Humanitarian Voice Index (HVI)

Grounding humanitarian policy in affected people’s voice

Ground Truth Solutions is currently developing the Humanitarian Voice Index (HVI), a global database and advocacy platform intended to inform stakeholders within and beyond the humanitarian system about the views of affected people. The project is funded by the Conrad Hilton Foundation.

The index will repurpose feedback data that Ground Truth Solutions already collects from people in a broad range of emergency operations and protracted crises.  The HVI will provide a fully interactive data base that will make it possible to store, triangulate and retrieve a rich set of feedback data instantaneously. The comparisons and data mash-ups across country programmes – broken down into multiple demographic categories – will be available to all interested parties. Policy briefs will draw attention to trends and cross-system analysis.

The pilot dashboard will be launched in Summer 2018.
